If you are turning 18 years old in 2004 (or younger), and want to play some high level, fun rugby with access to the best coaching in the province, join the ICRC Junior Program!! The Irish Colts have a strong tradition, winning the Ontario title in 1976 and again in 1995. The Colts are seen as a critical part of the club, and a producer of outstanding talent for future club, university and representative teams. The past decade has seen the Irish win the TRU in 1992, 1995 and 1996, and appear in the ORU final in 1992 and 1996, as well as a berth in the TRU final in 1994 & 2000. At least eight members of the Irish First XV squad have played through the Colt program, and the club has moved to an all-Canadian player base. Former Manitoba Provincial Fly-Half Jon Jenkins has come on board as the Director of Junior Development, and he looks to build upon the successes from previous years. If you're interested in joining the Irish Junior Program, please send an email to Irish Junior Rugby to get more information. Please include your name, position, phone number, address and email. |
Training location and times will be announced shortly. Those players who are still in high school, but too old to play in the ICRC Junior Program, are encouraged to attend the Senior Team's training sessions at Fletcher's Fields on Mondays and Thursdays. |
