IRSH FACE NIAGARA THUNDER
Irish Canadians visit Niagara Thunder
The Irish travel to Brantford to play the RCSL Eastern champs Niagara Thunder at 3 pm this Saturday in what should be an entertaining match.
Irish have won their first two pre-season games with very mixed lineups, but should feature a reasonable facsimile of a first xv for this encounter.
The development xv will face the Niagara Lightning, the U20 version of the Thunder, at 130.
To get to Brantford, take QEW west to 403 west near Hamilton; take 403 through Hamilton to Wayne Gretzky Parkway in Brantford; take Gretzky north to Powerline Road and turn right, 4km to field on right side of road.
In other news, double congratulations to Irish prop Russ “the Bus” Ward, named to both the Canada East NA4 side and the Canada U20 side to the World Championships in Wales this June.
