IRCR OPEN SEASON VERSUS OSHAWA

 

Irish Canadians will open their 58^th rugby season this Saturday April 19 with a pre-season game in Oshawa against the newly promoted (Keenan) Vikings.

 

The greens will field a somewhat mixed side with a number of new faces against a club they have not played since 1991, a 52-3 Irish win.

 

The womens team will play Oshawa at 1 pm at the club on Raglan Road, while the men kick off at 3 pm.

 

The Vikings feature former Irish center Mike Brown and Australian import flanker Ben Fleming as they begin their first season back in senior rugby for many years.

 

Directions to the ground are as follows:

 

401 East to Brock St in Whitby (NOT Brock Road in Ajax, ignore that)

 

Take Brock St/Hwy 12 north approx 15 min through the town of Brooklin; just north of Brooklin, turn right at Myrtle Rd, which turns into Raglan Rd

 

Follow Raglan Road east approx 3-4 min to club on your left (north) side.
