In 2004, the ICRC is proud to re-introduce a Mini Rugby program.  Mini Rugby (8 - 12 years old) is co-ed, non-contact rugby designed to introduce youngsters to the game.

If we have enough players, we will run a U14 team.  This is the age when under controlled conditions, contact is introduced to the players.

     The ICRC Mini Rugby philosophy is to introduce young people to the greatest game in the world.  Players will learn such things as sportsmanship, discipline, team spirit, and most of all, will have lots of fun.  The young players who join this program will make lifelong friends in rugby and beyond.   

Upon registration and payments of dues, all mini-players will receive a ICRC Mini-Rugby t-shirt to be worn to all practices and games.  The cost of the dues are just $50 for the whole season, which includes your child's Canadian Rugby Union registration dues, and the ICRC Mini-Rugby dues.

Recommended attire would be a pair of soccer boots, and outdoor clothing (depending on the weather).

The Mini Rugby Coaching staff will be made up of former ICRC rugby players and parents who love the game and club, and want to give something back to future participants of rugby.

If you have a son or daughter who is Under 12 or Under 14 who would be interested in learning the sport of rugby and having lots of fun, please contact us  ASAP!!!  

We are also looking for volunteers to help us put this great new program together.  Moms and Dads are both welcome.  We need coaches, registrars, managers, supporters, etc.!!!!
